Livestock trailer in accident on A1 in Northumberland
There was disruption on the northbound A1 near Morpeth this morning following an accident involving a livestock trailer.
The incident took place near the Clifton (Morpeth North) turn-off on the northbound carriageway, which was partially blocked, leading to heavy traffic.
Police received the call just after 10am and had to close the road temporarily to remove the vehicle. The clean-up had been completed by 11.20am.
There was an injury reported to one of the animals being transported.
