Concerns raised over disintegration of main road in Alnwick
A call has been made for the urgent resurfacing of a main road in Alnwick.
The deteriorating condition of Denwick Lane was raised by Coun Sue Allcroft at a meeting of Alnwick Town Council.
A 280-metre stretch of the road was resurfaced by Northumberland County Council in July 2018.
But Coun Allcroft noted: “The surface is breaking up again in the cold weather, all the way from the war memorial past Allerburn Lea. It’s just gravel everywhere.”
The county council will be notified.
