Waves batter North Tyneside coast
Coastguards were out on patrol this afternoon after flood warnings were issued for North Tyneside.
Earilier today, the Environment Agency issued a flood warning for Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and Tynemouth.
High tides combined with the Beast from the East meant large waves were expected.
